Hallo Leute,
Hi,
If you are asking how to view the background image whilst in the editor then you press "A"
If you want to change the background image then you need to create a mod..
To do this you need an extracted copy of the base.scs once you have that you need to look in its folder tree material/editor/europe_bgn.dds you need to copy that .dds onto your desktop for now.
Now close the extracted base.scs folder you no longer need that.
On your desktop create a new folder and name it material, now open that folder and create a folder in the material folder and name that editor, now get the copied europe_bgn.dds from your desktop and place it inside the newly created editor folder.
You can now edit the europe_bgn.dds file providing you have either DXTBMP (to open the .dds and send it to image editor) or a image editing software with a plugin that supports .dds format
Once edited you need to save it as a .dds image and then you can zip up the files (right click on the material folder and click on Add to archive) using the zip and store options in your zip program and name it something like mapbackground.scs.zip and click ok to zip the file, then just right click and rename and remove the .zip from the zip files name and you will be left with mapbackground.scs
Place mapbackground.scs into your mod folder and run the game, when you press "A" in editor you will now see your edited map background ..
